Magno Mocelin

Magno Mocelin, known as Magno (born February 26, 1974 in Coritiba), is a Brazilian footballer who is currently unattached. He plays as a forward.

Football career

Magno started playing professionally in Brazil with Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (two spells) and Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense. He moved overseas in 1996, playing three seasons with Dutch league outfit FC Groningen, being relegated at the end of his second season. However, he joined La Liga side Deportivo Alavés in 1999-2000, remaining five seasons with the Basque and playing an important offensive role (mainly as a substitute, as the club reached the 2001 UEFA Cup Final, which was lost to Liverpool FC, in extra time, where he was sent off) and De Graafschap. After a season with De Graafschap ( also relegated), Magno started a Cypriot adventure in 2005, first playing with AC Omonia. On June 6, 2008, he joined fellow Cypriot league side AEK Larnaca, on a one-year contract.
